Support A Heroic Teacher’s Loved One

Donation protected
This is Scott Beigel, teacher at Margory Stoneman Douglas High School and his partner in love and life, Gwen Gossler. Scott lost his life this last Wednesday, February 14, 2018, when he was murdered trying to keep his students safe from an incomprehensible act of terror. He was a hero! The last text that Gwen received from Scott that day was “Happy Valentine’s Day"...Gwen is a teacher, too. They met at Camp Starlight, where they are both camp counselors in the summers. Scott has been going to camp since he was seven and Gwen has been a counselor there for 10 years now. Scott loved Gwen more than life itself. It was a very special relationship...They were planning to get married, buy a house and start a family... but life took a tragic turn and they lost their chance to grow old and gray together. As we all know, teachers in our country don’t make an income that they deserve, with the countless hours they contribute. Gwen works at a charter school, that she loves but earns even less because of that. Now she is faced with the worry and burden of the financial responsibility that they both shared but now with only one income to get by on. Please consider lessening her financial burden so she can have the time to mourn the lost of Scott without that added stress.

Also, a memorial fund has been set up in Scott’s name, as well. Please consider donating to this also and sharing the link.
