We needed to change the location of The Spring Festival on March 21st & March 22nd, because University of Chicago canceled all events on it's campus because of the CORONA virus, but the Spring Festival event on March 21st and March 22nd will be held on different location.

Dukati-Biseri stusio on 6069 N Milwaukee ave, Chicago, IL to host us during our dance master workshops on March 21st - 9am - 4pm and March 22nd 9am - 3pm!!!!
Little Bulgarian Center and School for agreeing to host us on March 21st 7pm - 1am during our concert and party!!!!
**********IMPORTANT PLEASE READ – CHANGE OF LOCATION FOR 55th Anniversary Spring Festival, March 21 & 22, 2020 from UChicago to the North Side
The International House at the University of Chicago yesterday informed us yesterday that all events involving 100+ people have been cancelled until April 15, 2020. Thus, we have moved our March 21 & 22, 2020 events as follows:

****March 21, 7pm, Concert & Dance Party, at Little Bulgarian Center, 832 Lee St, Des Plaines, IL. DO NOT GO to the International House on Saturday nor Ida Noyes on Sunday.
****March 21 9am - 4pm, Workshops on Saturday, at dance studio at 6069 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago.
****March 22 9am - 3pm, Workshops on Sunday, at dance studio at 6069 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago
**UNCHANGED
*March 20th, Friday evening 7pm mini-workshop & party is unchanged and remains Balkanika Restaurant 1414 E Oakton Ave, Des Plaines, IL.
$20/cover charge doesn't include dinner - Reservations required.
*March 22nd, Sunday evening, 7pm post-festival dinner and party is unchanged at Mehanata, 1141 N Lee St, Des Plaines, IL.
$40 / includes dinnes 1 of 3 choices main dish Reservations required.
For out of town guests, we recommend cancelling your reservation in the UChicago/Hyde Park area, and, instead reserve space at motels closer to the studio. Here are some choices:
Esquire Motel, 6145 N Elston Ave, Chicago. [phone redacted] is directly across the street from the dance studio for the workshops. $65-$80/night.
Edgebrook Motel, 6401 W Touhy Ave, Chicago. [phone redacted]. 1.3 miles from the dance studio. $68/night.
Holiday Inn Express, 7247 N Waukegan Rd, Niles, [phone redacted]. 1.7 miles from the dance studio for the workshops. $107/night – may be discounted by up to $27 to $80.
The good news is that the workshops and Friday and Sunday evening events are much closer to each other (15-20 minutes by car), as well as to O’Hare Airport. The studio is also reachable via public transportation (Chicago Transit Authority Milwaukee Ave. bus, taxi, Uber/Lyft, etc.)
If you choose to remain in your housing in the UC area, we can connect you with Uber and drivers who are on standby in support of the SF. Car pools may also be an option.
As of now, we plan to proceed with all planned activities but are continuing to monitor the situation which remains fluid. There are no changes with respect to the teachers for the workshops and the musicians for the concert and parties. We will notify you if there is a major change.
You should determine what is your best course of action under the current circumstances. We will provide a credit toward future festivals or issue a refund, whichever you prefer, if you decide to cancel. If you wish to consider it a donation to our Eastern European Folklore Society (EEFS) nonprofit organization 501(c)(3), that would be appreciated! We appreciate your understanding and continuing support.
