Support Jon Janowski’s Big Heart

Our father, Jon (aka Papa Jonny to his grandchildren), had a heart attack on Tuesday. He was flown 1,000 miles by flight for life directly from work to the hospital in Anchorage, AK to save his life. He is conscious, in good spirits, and feeling okay, considering the circumstances, but he has multiple clogged arteries. The doctor told us yesterday that in 4-5 days he is going to go under the knife for triple bypass (with a possibility of it being a quadruple bypass) open-heart surgery.
His wife Holly is by his side, as are his children, Linnea, Rich, Justin, and Jordan, and his grandchildren, Keagan, Keely, Sophie, and Cami. Jon wants to meet his next set of grandchildren that are on the way (just the leverage he needed to recognize his symptoms early enough to get the immediate help which saved his life). He turned 54 years old last week.
Our Dad has been a hero to us our whole lives. He coached our baseball teams, took us boating and fishing, worked long and hard hours to provide, played games with us (we still do and will continue to play from his hospital room, as we are doing in the picture above), he has always been present, always loved us, and always cared for us. Now he is giving his love and support to the next generation as an amazing grandfather. Help us provide for him this time, in his moment of greatest need.
We appreciate your support from the bottom of our hearts and from all of his. Everything helps. Anything given will go directly towards loss of income, medical bills, and Jon’s recovery.
We are a faithful family and, while anything can happen, we expect him to survive the surgery and be with us for many more years. That being said, the best case scenario has him missing 6 weeks of work and 6 weeks of pay, without disability. That, along with the other financial needs of this situation, will cost him and Holly over $18,000. If he can’t go to back for 8 or 10 weeks, the situation will only compound. Your contribution to this cause will help ease the pressure around his timeline to return to work. We don’t want him to feel financial stress that pushes him to go back too soon.
Jon has busted his ass working outside, with his hands, in manual labor jobs for 40 years, and while doing an incredible job supporting a family of 6, he and Holly have never been able to get ahead themselves.
