Dream Home Close To Lost

We just pcs'd to Fort Carson Colorado and decided to become first time home buyers since this will be my wife's last duty station, and we want to have a more stable life for our daughter. After a few weeks of searching we found a place within our budget and made an offer. Everything was going great with the process until the appraisal came back 20,000 less than we offered which was already 15,000 less than the listing price. So we had to get back to house hunting. It seemed like that was probably meant to be because we ended up finding our dream home. The home is two blocks from the best school in the area for children with developmental disabilities which is extremely important to us as our daughter is on the autism spectrum. The sellers ended up getting 14 offers on the home, and ours was not the highest so they selected a different one, and it looked like our dream home slipped away. The very next day we got contacted and told the accepted offer fell through, and even though ours wasn't the highest offer, after they had met us, and after the letter my wife wrote with our offer, explaining our situation, they had decided to sell to us after all! So here's where the problem came in. After months of travels and hotel rooms far beyond what we had planned for, our credit card ended up maxed out. This severely hurt my wife's credit score to the point where she can't qualify for the VA loan to make the home affordable. We're asking for help bringing our balance down by 5500 so we don't lose this wonderful opportunity to start a stable life for our family in the best possible place for our daughter.
