Cause for Paws and Funds for Frank

This past Sunday I came across what appeared to be a stray dog on the side of the road. He looked malnourished so I pulled over to attempt to feed it a piece of food. The dog lured me further and further into the woods as I tried to approach it. I eventually stumbled upon an old run down house that had what appeared to be 4/5 unhealthy adult dogs. I played with them for a minute before I realized that there were more. As I walked up to the house I noticed a puppy on the back porch. One puppy soon became ten, and the living conditions were so bad that I decided something had to be done. Upon further investigation I found that there was an 78 year old man named Frank living there. Frank has Alzheimer’s and is not able to care for these dogs properly. Our local shelters were all full, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I went back to the house two days later, and recovered all 10 puppies. As of now I have a wood shop behind my house setup for their temporary stay. I’ve schedule a vet trip for the puppies that will run close to $500 altogether, but will also need to eventually take the adult dogs to get checkups that they all desperately need. My goals is to have the puppies adopted within the next couple weeks, and to help Frank manage the adult dogs that he wants to keep if possible. He also needs a lot of work done to his house, as it is close to falling apart. Any help I can receive to pay for the numerous trips to the vet, plus food, bedding, toys, ext. will be greatly appreciated! I’ll continue to post updates on the status of the puppies/adult dogs as they make their trips to the vet, and hopefully find their forever homes.
