Baby knight’s Story

As I’m sure most of you are aware that my sister Devon & her partner Aaron are expecting their first child together in May. I am completely over the moon to tell everyone that we are having a boy!! (I say we as I feel like their baby is mine as I love him so much already).

When Devon & Aaron went for the 20week scan to find out the gender of their baby they received some very unfortunate news that he has various problems with his heart amongst other things. Devon are Aaron were then referred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast to see a heart specialist so they could get a better understanding of the conditions that their baby has.

In weeks to come they discovered that Baby Knights problems became more and more complex, they became aware of this after numerous appointments with the consultants, they are as follows;     

 Dextrocardia

 Right atrial isomerism                       

 AVSA and common AV valve with a double outlet                                       

Stomach on the left hand side of his body                                                     

 And an enlarged liver         

Devon & Aaron are unsure of the amount of time they will get to spend with their baby boy once he arrives, every minute will count & we all cannot wait to meet him. As Devon's sister I have decided to appeal to everyone through a 'Go Fund me page' so we can raise money for the British heart foundation, the Neo Natal Unit in the Royal Victoria Hospital & help towards any costs for Baby Knights funeral. Any amount of donations would be extremely helpful & we would all be eternally grateful.
