CZ Mustangs, a 501c3 non profit, rescues, retrains, and rehomes mustangs. The thirty acre facility in Alachua County, FL serves as her home base but she travels throughput the country to save mustangs and educate people about how amazing these horses are.
No one takes a salary. All donations go toward hay, grain, and medical care. Cat supplements the cost by training other horses off-site.

Cat Zimmerman began training wild mustangs in 2015 at the age of twelve as part of the Extreme Mustang Makeover Youth Division--a competition where trainers have 100 days to tame and train a wild mustang. And her passion for saving, taming, and training mustangs was born.
This year, Cat will travel from Florida to Tennessee on February 22 to pick up her 2018 mustang for the Extreme Mustang Makeover. She will compete in the EMM Youth Division in June at the Kentucky Horse Park.
She is hosting demonstrations at her Florida horse ranch to raise money to help cover the travel costs and costs associated with caring for the new mustang as well as to defray the cost for the upkeep of the two abandoned mustangs she rescued in Connecticut last summer, the wild burro she rescued in January, and her other mustangs while she is training this new mustang for 100 days.

In 2017, Cat won competitions in the EMM Massachusetts Youth Division, EMM Kentucky Open Division In-Hand, and EMM Texas Open Division Walk-Trot with her 2015, 2016, and 2017 mustangs. Cat is homeschooled so that she can work with her mustangs. She also trains other people's horses and gives lessons in liberty training to help cover the expenses of rescuing mustangs. Next year, her family plan to create a mustang rescue for retaining and rehoming (or retiring) abandoned mustangs in North-central Florida at their 30-acre ranch.
