Lauren is a 12 year old singer/song writer/musician who is determined to inspire others through her music.
Lauren’s song “I Don’t Care” was written as an empowering message to remind peers that being an individual is special, loving and believing in yourself is empowering and that you're not alone if you're struggling.
An old soul, Lauren is keenly aware of what those around her experience - good and bad. The pre-teen years are challenging, and Lauren uses her gifts of song writing and music to lift up and to inspire kindness.
Anti Bullying and self worth are common themes in many of Lauren’s songs. She is inspired and touched by those who struggle most, and (at 12) is ready to make a difference any way she can. Lauren’s song “I Don’t Care” is a favorite among peers- as it strikes a chord and empowers kids to feel strong when experiencing social difficulties.
So many have reached out to Lauren since her first EP release to thank her for releasing and performing such a powerful message. A few months ago, Lauren went to her parents, spoke with teachers and Lakehouse leaders about how to make an even greater impact by creating her first music video. Lauren's vision for this video is to involve close friends who inspired the song as well as her bandmates and musicians she has worked with since she was eight years old. Lauren decided to partner with the very first office manager at Lakehouse (now a video producer) on this initiative. Lauren's vision and her fundraising are 100% independent.
Lauren’s mission with this project is to offer the music video to organizations who support peer kindness in schools as a way to relay an empowering message. She needs your help! The production and set expense for this music video is significant. Lauren and her band will launch the video and the release of Lauren’s new EP (following production) at a live concert. You can find Lauren’s first release - including I Don’t Care on Spotify or iTunes. Lauren's second EP release will be announced in the next few weeks.
