Help Pippa Get Better

Donation protected
Unfortunately I lost my jobs due to Covid-19 and not long after Pippas health took a turn for the worst. Pippa recently had an ultrasound (thanks to everyone here) and unfortunately the results were much worse than I was anticipating and she has a multitude of issues. Her gallbladder is filled with a sludge type liquid, her liver is enlarged and her small intestine muscle layer is twice as thick as a normal cats is. My heart sank to my stomach when I heard of the results. She needs an extensive biopsy as soon as possible, which will be quite a large surgery for her to determine the cause of these issues. I was told it was either enteritis, an infection or lymphoma/cancer. Pippa is only 2 and I can’t imagine not giving her the best chance to live a long happy life and I have no clue when I’ll be able to return to work. I am desperate for any help possible. Feel free to stay updated as I’ll be posting updates and receipts from the vet appointments. Thank you EDIT #2: pippa was at the mobile groomers today getting her matts out because the vet suggested we stop daily brushing in case the stress was exasperating her symptoms (she hates grooming). Unfortunately the vet noticed a puss type liquid coming from her bum. This made me feel sick with stress and I am extremely worried and hoping I can raise the money to get the biopsy done straight away. Pippa will be seeing a new vet for a second opinion straight away. I’ll keep you updated. Every day it’s like it’s getting worse and the worrying is killing me. EDIT #1: thanks to you all we have managed to get pippa her ultrasound. Unfortunately the results were much worse than I was anticipating. She has an enlarged liver, her gallbladder is filled with a ‘sludge’ type of liquid and the muscle layer of her small intestine is twice as thick as a normal cats. There are 3 possibilities for this...an infection, enteritis, or lymphoma/cancer. Pippa is only 2 so this is serious. She is still a baby (to me anyway). The vets want to do a quite extensive and expensive biopsy. I was quoted anywhere from $5000-$6000 + treatment afterwards. This will be a big biopsy for her with a 2 week recovery time. This will give us answers as to what we are dealing with. I unfortunately lost both of my jobs due to Covid-19 so as you could imagine I am devastated and beyond worried. Please share as much you can. I will be so grateful. I will update you when I can Pippa has been having ongoing issues with her tummy that seem to only be getting worse after a period of up and downs. She has been having frequent blood in almost all of her stools, difficulty defecating (sometimes only once a week), has become lethargic, refuses to use her litter box as she now associates it with pain and now is hardly eating. I am worried beyond belief. She seems even more anxious and timid than usual. This all started to get worse about a week ago or less. I feel like I have tried absolutely everything I can and am praying that the vets can for once get to the bottom of this.

This is an issue that I have been trying to fix with Pippa since January, but because I have lost both of my jobs due to COVID-19, I can no longer afford her vet bills and treatment/testing which cannot wait. This issue in cats can be deadly if not treated correctly and identified. I have so far spent thousands on this after following the vets orders and also seeing a second vet clinic for a second opinion. I NEVER imagined myself in a position where I would be asking for help, and if my car wasn't on finance, I would have sold it. I will be trying to sell what somewhat valuable possessions I can, but nothing I own could make up for the estimated bill.

So far we have tried multiple different diets to see if it is a dietary issue, or she is perhaps hypoallergenic. We have tried enemas, medications, tried her on regular laxatives, and even tried anti anxiety medication as she is a timid scaredy cat and we thought maybe it was stress induced, but even that didn't work.

The vet has decided we need to do more thorough fecal testing, blood work and imaging. These tests are very expensive with the ultrasound alone being $650 and only one of her tests (the fecal test) being $230, not including blood tests which will be sent to a lab, not done in house, which means they will be a LOT more expensive. Then I have to add on consultation/check up costs, sedation costs when needed and also medications and other added costs which seem to never end. I am expecting this to cost at least $1500 but am expecting it to be much more. I will be putting what I can get rid of on Gumtree. Thank you to anyone who has donated. I never thought i'd see myself in this position but am grateful beyond words for any help provided for my little mama.
