The road to the DOME! Team Maryland!

Hello Friends, Family and appreciated Donors,
I am writing this because in one way or the other you have impacted Brent's passion for football. I'm sure most of you remember him when he was the little overweight kid (154lbs at 8 years old) that wanted to play football with his school friends so bad! Never could because he could never make the weight. I can remember the day like it was yesterday that he looked at me and Brent Sr. and said I'm going to do this, I am going to get healthy so I can play on a team with my friends. He set his mind to it and that's exactly what he did! He changed his eating habits, exercised and watch and learned as much about football as he could. As his Mom and #1 cheerleader I was so nervous when he when he walked through the doors of Old Mill High School to attend his first weigh in to play 100lb football for a local football organization. I sat there pacing until he came out...HE DID IT!! Weighed in at 98.9lbs.!! I thought I could never be prouder as a Parent! Little did I know this was just the beginning of a journey of many goals he would be setting for himself.

Brent's passion for football has grown throughout the years; he has continuously been a Leader on and off the fields and has carried his teams to winning seasons. In 2009, he led his team to a county championship, in 2012, he received the Buzz Platt Award for sportsmanship and this year his team is currently 8-1 and the county championship is looks promising.

I am honored to say that even with as much hard work and dedication Brent puts into sports he carries just as much effort into the classroom. Brent has maintained Honor Roll throughout the years and has received many awards and certifications.

On October 25th, I received an email that Brent has made the 8th grade All Star Team Maryland Football team. This means that he will be traveling with a group of boys that share his passion for football. This is a huge honor and one that will take a lot of dedication and hard work from Brent. He is as we expected up for the challenge!!
Brent and his team will be traveling to Virginia, Ohio and their final destination will be San Antonio, Texas should they keep advancing!!!

I am asking you to participate in this sponsorship drive. All money received will go directly towards Brent's travel expenses. No amount is too big or small. All donations are extremely appreciated!!
