Brandon's Heart

My son Brandon Upshaw is 27 years old he's the proud father of a beautiful one year old baby boy, my son's family is his pride and joy he was a strong influence and a great provider for his family up until recently when he was diagnosed with chronic heart failure he worked an additional 7 months after being diagnosed until he was physically unable to work it has been very hard on him not being able to provide for his family. He has the best team of doctors at Vanderbilt University working to do everything they can to make sure he continues to live. Brandon has been accepted for a procedure call lvad it's a mechanical heart pump that helps his heart to pump oxygen rich blood throughout his body. Brandon will have to stay in the hospital 3 weeks after the surgery has been performed so they can keep a close eye on his condition after that he will have to stay in a 45 mile radius of the hospital for an additional 6 weeks, he will need to pay for lodging for himself and two caretakers in his family, food, gas, and medical expenses. His expenses was calculated to be $5,000 which he and his family does not have so we are starting this fundraiser to help him to be able to stay in Nashville for 9 weeks after his surgery with his heart team so that he can have the best chance possible of a safe and successful recovery so I'm asking everyone who can to please give anything that you can to help me raise this money so that my son can get the help that he need and return safely home to his family.
