Today we will not give up! Today we will fight! Today is the day we stand, hold our heads high, and be proud cause we know, we together made a difference!!!
Today we are trying to fight an uphill battle. Becky Voelkel has been a fighter her whole life. She is the proud mother of 7 children with a growing number grandchildren. Her dream is a very simple one. To be able to watch her children grow, and watch the grandchildren become teenagers and so on. At her young age this dream is a very realistic one. She has been to every birth of every grandchild. She has always been one of the greatest supporters in her family and in anyones life that crosses her path. She has dedicated her life to helping others and has never (even in her worst moments) been selfish. on mulitble occasions she has reached out and taken people into her home in their moments of need. Helped them get back on their feet. She Is the manager at the Christian book store in Mount Vernon, Wa. There works countless hours at minimal pay. Not because she has to, but because it is her passion. Her dedication has inspired many people, Her smile leaves an impression that lasts, and her attitude toward life is unforgettable.

In Sept 2008 a devastating event snuck up. She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. An aggressive cancer that attacks the plasma cells.

In 2009 she undertook a very painful and long procedure that put the Multiple-myeloma in its place. With help from many sources and loving family and friends we were able to fund this a great deal of time to prepare.
Now Once again the myeloma has returned!!!!
This time with no time to prepare. Due to Changes in insurances and overall costs of these procedures. Money has become a major factor.

We are trying to save a person who truly deserves to be saved.
