Bring Our Beloved Home

Thank You all who have prayed, all who care, and may your hearts be blessed. My brother Kurtis Levi Collins has been fighting and battling for days. Our Family drove 18 hours from Michigan to Florida to spend his last days with him. We have hardly been able to sleep, eat or rest in 72 hours. Our situation is hard, and all we are asking for is help from family and friends in prayer and in action by giving anything no matter how small. This journey began with a small infection in his blood, due to bacteria. He went to be treated at multiple hospitals and was not diagnosed or treated properly. After days of believing he was out of options to get better, he found Munroe Regional Hospital in Ocala. They ran the right test, and found the bacteria had spread through his entire body. Soon after his liver failed, and his blood began to clot profusely. The doctors had planned to heal his infection and get him ready for surgery. On our way to see him, a suspect in an ongoing police investigation came to visit and injected him with Cocaine. This mixed with his blood clots sent the cocaine and clots to his brain causing him to have multiple strokes. This caused his brain to bleed, and paralyzed his left side from the neck down. At this point, it was not possible to operate any longer. We had hoped antibiotics would clear up the pathways enough to eventually operate. Through two days with him, he steadily declined and was not healing at all due to the extent of his infection and organ failure. He was of sober mind and not a bad person or an addict, and so many love and adored him. With that said, our last resort option today is to take him off of support and bring him to Hospice to be sedated and pass on peacefully. So many have prayed for Peace and we are finally allowing him to have his with God and his life. Kurtis is an amazing Man, Father, Brother, Friend, Person and belongs with the saints in the Kingdom of God. He has blessed many lives, and been blessed by so many people that Love and Care for him beyond belief. We as a Family would like to bring our Family Member home from Ocala, Florida to Michigan. With that said, we need help from everyone and anyone. If you didn’t know my brother, just know he would give you the shirt off of his back in the middle of a blizzard. If you have $1 laying at home, in the couch cushions, under the sink in pop bottles, whatever you can give please do! Please Share, and please continue praying for his passing to be a peaceful one. Help our Family bring our Beloved Home ❤️ The cost to ship his body Home alone is $2600, as soon as we do get him home, we plan to give him the funeral and burial that he deserves. We want all of his friends and family to celebrate his life with us and have a chance to mourn his death properly.
