McCormack Family Flood Disaster

On October 31st we were victims of a life threatening flood that destroyed our new home we purchased last year. Since we are not in a flood zone we were uninsured for this type of loss. We had four feet of water in our home when rescue units knocked on our door...outside water hit the five foot mark. We jumped to safety from the second story window....THANK YOU to the firemen and rescue unit. This roughly happened at 5 am. Everything in our home was destroyed from furniture, clothes, computers, guitars, musical equipment, heirlooms, jewelry, school books and supplies... ShaShai was injured as she jumped to safety...We are blessed to have been spared our lives...There were fatalities in this horrendous downpour. Our home will need to be rebuilt from the inside out...Our home has been yellow tagged as "unsafe" by Austin Code enforcement. We are reaching out to our friends and family for support...We appreciate and are thankful for any monetary support that comes our way.
