Stuart’s 2023 Charity Challenges
Donation protected
Ada's Foundation has been established to help the families of stillborn, miscarried and TFMR babies with practical and emotional support in the times following their loss. Stuart and Jodi lost their little girl Ada, who was born sleeping at almost 22 weeks in December 2022 and have set up Ada's Foundation to ensure that comfort and support can be Ada's legacy to families who suffer the same fate.
This year Ada’s Dad Stuart is undertaking various challenges to raise money for the foundation.
On July 17th, Stuart and five friends Karen, Wayne, Sam, Lisa and Darren will be climbing the highest peaks in each of the UK mainland countries within 24 hours. Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon and they would love your support to help raise funds to purchase and supply support boxes and other items for families in the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
On September 2nd Stuart will be leading Ada’s Army, a group of friends families and supporters up Snowdon.
On September 14th Stuart will begin 20 back to back climbs of the Wrekin. This will be 89km and over 20,000 ft of elevation. 89km will mean one Km for each family that used the PRH bereavement suite in 2022.
In October Stuart will be heading to Nepal to conquer the worlds biggest mountain with a trek to base camp that involves tackling climbs, altitude and the cold.
Any donations of any size will help towards the support boxes which cost £35 and bring much needed comfort and practical support during the darkest of times.
As well as the support boxes, these funds will
be used to provide comfortable underwear and pyjamas to ladies who are recovering from the physical and mental effects of pregnancy loss. We will also be widening our circle and looking to help families in other hospitals throughout the UK.
Ada’s Foundation are also looking to fund better facilities at the hospital, mental support for families and memorials for babies lost in pregnancy.
