One In A Million

Hello everyone!! My dad is one in a million and has started his fight against cancer. He was diagnosed late last year with Chordoma. Chordoma is a rare type of cancer that occurs in the bones of the skull base and spine. It is part of a group of malignant bone and soft tissue tumors called sarcomas. Chordomas account for about 3 percent of all bone tumors and about 20 percent of primary spinal tumors.

He has found the best doctors to help him fight this awful monster. The doctors are at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota which is approximately 10 hours away from our home city. Him and my mom will be living in Minnesota for 7 weeks. Also right at this moment his medical insurance has denied the coverage for his treatments. I’m hoping to come up with a little extra funds to send their way to help with hotel rooms, food and possibly medical expenses.

My dad is an amazing man and has always done what was the best for me and my 2 brothers. He his now a grandfather to 9 children. We are not ready for him to leave us and I will do everything I can to make sure he’s here to watch all of his grandkids graduate high school, college, get married and give him some great-grand babies.
