Sundance Bound

I have always had a love for reading that later developed into a love for writing as well. In March 2011 I received my Masters Degree in Creative Writing from Full Sail University.

During my journey I have written a few short stories, screenplays and stageplays. My ultimate goal is to write a screenplay that will be premiered at The Sundance Film Festival. Some of you probably have heard me say many times "I'm going to Sundance". Yes, I AM SPEAKING MY DREAM INTO EXISTENCE. In the meantime I have registered, applied, attended, and researched everything possible that will help me fulfill my dream and get me to Sundance.

Well, on October 31, 2013, I received one of many hopeful phones calls that will ignite my dreams to reality. A rep from Sundance Film Festival called regarding my application and that I'm a likely candidate to work the upcoming festival.
The Sundance Film Festival is January 15 - 26, 2014 in Park City, Utah. This is a little over two months from now! After doing some research and crunching numbers it will cost approximately $3000 to make this trip. Unfortunately Sundance does not pay for transportation or lodging.

My challenge is getting the finances to afford this great opportunity in such short notice. I am desperately turning to my friends and family and humbly asking for some financial assistance. I know with these tough economical times, furloughs, layoffs, and holidays this is a lot to ask. Any donation small or large will be greatly appreciated and very helpful. If you're able and find it in your heart to give, please help me go to Sundance.
