Help Military Dad Fight for his Son

Family & friends have come together to find a way to support Bryce as he faces the most difficult challenge in his life. He's a wonderful, loving and attentive father, and his son deserves to have both of his parents.
Bryce says: Few things in life hurt more than a divorce, especially when completely unexpected and blindsided by it. But even worse is the impact on the child. All my son wants is his mom AND dad. I'm stationed in Virginia, and my wife went "home" (I thought on a family emergency) and filed for divorce in Washington. This means I must have a lawyer there ($2,500 retainer) and fly back for court (when it can't be done by phone), hire a Guardian ad Litem, and pay filing fees, etc.
My wife's attorney told me - in court! - to NOT pay the bills, but to pay the court ordered spousal & child support. Anyone who has been in the military knows how well that goes over in a military career. When I pay that, there is NOTHING left for an attorney to assure my son's right to BOTH of his parents, as much as is reasonably possible.
As a Marine with 10 years in the Corps who has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, south-east Asia and the US; and who thought I'd found the love of my life, the woman that I wanted to be the best man I could be for... I'm finding it was easier getting shot at, surviving Al-Quaeda ambushes, and 135 degrees in the Afghani shade than this. I cannot begin to express the deep appreciation I have for family and friends who have been so supportive since this began the beginning of October and helped me to process what is happening. Not only the financial help, but the prayers, too, have given me hope and held me up. THANK YOU.
