Jen's Gonna Toss Her Walker!

Our friend, Jenny Johnson-Lindhorst, was born with cerebral palsy and has never walked on her own. Jen has been accepted for a life changing surgery by Dr. T. S. Park of the St Louis Children's Cerebral Palsy Hospital. This amazing surgery will allow Jen to walk on her own for the 1st time in her life. The surgery, Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, is normally reserved for children. Jen was selected after extensive testing and interviews because of her strength and willpower to leave her walker behind. There will be an arduous and lengthy recovery with extensive physical therapy, a personal trainer, and a 2nd surgery 1 year out from the 1st. Jen and her husband Tye will incur a mountain of bills from the surgeries and rehab that will not be covered by insurance. Friends, in the years I've known Jen, she never asks for help or assistance in her day to day journey. We are asking you to help Jen achieve her dream of walking on her own. The truth is, Jen, her family, and support system of friends and. neighbors need your help. She simply cannot do this without our help.
