Carmens Health Care Expenses

Dear Reader,
After battling brain cancer in 2016, Carmen had reached remission. Unfortunately during a MRI appointment in December 2017, Carmen’s results showed multiple spots in her scan. On Tuesday January 16th, Carmen was admitted to the hospital for further testing; where the doctors confirmed that the cancer had returned and spread throughout her body placing her in a terminal condition.
Furthermore, Many people from the Madison area have had the experience to meet and grow to love Carmen Miranda Torres, this is who she was for those who didn’t have the opportunity to do so. She had a profound impact on anyone who was lucky enough to call her friend. She had an infectious laugh that brightened every day. Carmen had a heart of gold and hugs that would make even the worst days all right. Wise beyond her years, Carmen had a way of knowing exactly the right words to bring clarity to anyone who approached her asking for advise. Carmen was a person whose work ethic extended well beyond the workplace; between her shifts at McDonald’s, JBM security, and lastly at the Willy Street Co-op. As well as her dedication to completing her education in criminal justice at MATC and overall, her dedication to her family. Carmen showed that a solid work ethnic isn’t limited to just a paycheck. Carmen inspired so many people with her loyalty and her actions to others.This is one of the few ways to help Carmen’s loved ones take care of further expenses. Anything is appreciated. All proceeds will go to Maria, her mother.
