Help Patricia Fight Breast Cancer

I started this campaign for my friend Patricia who is battling breast cancer.  I met Patricia in 2007, while working at GE Healthcare in Milwaukee, WI.  She is one of the most generous people I have ever met.  Patricia has made such a positive impact on my life; I am so blessed to have her as part of my family.

In early 2017, Patricia was diagnosed with hormone positive breast cancer (estrogen/progesterone positive and her2 negative).  Her initial treatment plan included, surgery, chemo, radiation and hormone therapy.
Upon receiving this diagnosis, Patricia went on a journey to heal her life, starting with changing her diet, grow spiritually, and increase her spiritual energy in order to prepare herself physically and emotionally to receive treatment for her condition.

During this journey Patricia began to have great pain in her back.  Finally one of her doctors requested x-rays and an MRI, as there were concerns her cancer may have spread to her back.  The tests and exams showed the cancer had spread.  She is now fighting cancer in the following places:

* breasts
* back & rib bones
* lungs

Patricia's oncologists determined that they are no longer able to cure but only ‘manage’ her condition for as long as possible.  

Even more difficult, traditional medications are no longer working to alleviate her pain, which can be debilitating.  Upon recommendation, Patricia tried cannabis treatments to see if they would help to control her pain.  It's working!  The cannabis treatments have helped reduce her pain to a more manageable level, however the tinctures and medications are very expensive.  

As I mentioned above, I met Patricia while working for GE Healthcare, but it was always her dream to start her own company.  In 2016, she took the leap and began her first business venture.  However as her condition intensified, by summer 2017 she was in so much pain her business had to be put on hold, and she is unable to work at this time.  

This campaign is to help purchase the expensive cannabis tinctures and medications to manage her pain so she can focus on fighting this disease.  As well, we are in the midst of identifying the right medical faclity to obtain a second opinion and potential treament plan to cure Patricia (not just manage her disease).  I am asking for your assistance in raising these funds on Patricia's behalf, as I try to give back some of the blessings she's given me throughout our friendship.
