50km January Jog For The Brain Tumour Charity

Tax deductible
2020 was a tough year for everyone, so I wanted to start 2021 with a real positive. I'm only a beginner runner - more of a plodder really - but I started jogging around my town a few months ago and have found real satisfaction in my new hobby (slow as my pace may be). Now it's grown arms and legs and I have signed up for the Virtual Runner UK Monthly Challenge Series for January 2021 to really kick 2021 off right and I have decided to make the first month of a year-long challenge a fundraiser for a charity that means so much to me and my family.

So in a nutshell the goal is: Run, Walk or Cycle 50km in the month of January to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity!

I figured I would challenge myself and try and make a bit of a difference to the world to give something back to the people who have helped me so much over the years. The Brain Tumour Charity is a cause that means an awful lot to my family. My Dad had a brain tumour removed 40 years ago that changed his life forever (not least because he no longer had his golden locks of hair anymore!) and 2020 brought with it a new challenge too. A second brain tumour was found. But he faced it like a boss and he is now making awesome progress recovering from his operation to remove the tumour that took place in November!

Here's a picture of me and my Dad driving with the top down in a Scottish winter a few years ago just so you can see how rad he is:

So if you fancy donating a couple of pounds or buttons that would be amazing! I can't tell you how much I would appreciate it, and I will do my best to do this cause justice.
