Hope For Courtney

First I’ll tell you a little bit about Courtney. She is one of the most hard working, toughest, & caring person you’ll ever meet. She’s a person who will fight for what she wants. She doesn’t believe in handouts, but I decided to make this because she is unable to work right now after what happened to her so right now she could use our love & support. So here is exactly what happened to Courtney “Basically I was hired at a great job in AZ & put in my two weeks here in EP with plans to move the following week. The afternoon of the 28th around 5:30 pm. I was taken to the ER by ambulance with excruciating abdominal pains. The nurse & Dr seemed to just wash their hands of me with a diagnosis of stomach flu. I begged for more test to be run to find out the cause of the pain. A Ct scan was then run reluctantly by the PA. Everything came back normal & I again begged for more tests such as an ultrasound. They finally agreed & ran the test but said they couldn't find my uterus or ovaries. After a long 10hr wait in the ER the PA came back to tell me they had found a large mass on my right ovary but they were going to discharge me with pain meds & to follow up with my OBGYN. Never once seeing the on call OBGYN. Never once having any nurse come in to check on me. So I checked in with my OBGYN the following day & my dr was not happy with the results found on the 10cm mass. They then scheduled blood work to be done to rule out ovarian cancer. The results came back in the CA125 test as highly highly elevated. I was immediately sent to an Oncologist who told me I'd need urgent surgery. The surgery is Thursday at 1:30pm. My right ovary will be removed & tested for cancer. If it is cancerous they'll do the complete hysterectomy to assure that there are no further problems. I'm no longer working due to the timing of this situation & putting in my two weeks with plans to move to a job with a better opportunity in AZ along with the inability to physically work so medical bill are piling up. Absolutely anything will help.”
