28 Orphans in Cameroon Need Our Help

In keeping with a tradition of visiting orphanages and donating toys and clothes to children in need while in Africa on business trips, we came across an orphanage that touched our hearts very deeply. Deep in the green hillside of Mount Cameroon in the central African country of Cameroon, we were introduced to the Grace of God Philanthropic Orphanage run by Mary Ebane a retired transport worker. With little support, virtually no electricity, no running water and only two bedrooms, Mary is single handedly looking after 28 orphaned Cameroonian children.
Armed with one suitcase each full of donations, we were introduced to each child one by one and handed out the toys and clothes we had collected from our family and friends in the US. It didn't seem enough for all of them, but they were so grateful and happy, and it brought tears to our eyes to see the children play with the toys that we gave them.
Mary showed us the children's sleeping quarters, and we were shocked to see how thin the mattresses were and how 28 children were crammed into such a small space. We were humbled that despite their circumstances the children were being well looked after, fed and Mary stated that her faith in God keeps her going.
We discussed the finances needed to keep the orphanage running and were amazed at how small sums of money can have a huge impact on the comfort and quality of life for these children.
We have committed a portion of our own money on a monthly basis to sustain some basic needs of the orphanage, but they need immediate assistance with the larger items.
Please help us to help Mary and these 28 beautiful children who want nothing more at this exact time then running water in their home, a comfortable bed to sleep on, electricity and the ability to have text books for school.
