Mission Trip To Honduras

Donation protected
Some of you may know. I've been given an opportunity to be involved in missionary work. I felt the calling to do so a couple of years ago. This will be my third trip to Honduras. Each trip has been unique and special to me. Yielding a new and different experience. I believe the purpose of these trips are not only to spread the word and love of God. I think it's much deeper. It's about connection and relationships. I've been blessed and fortunate enough to have these experiences. I became a sponsor to Brayan. A child at Casa Hogar (which is considered a family home/orphanage) about 2 years ago. The particular mission trip I go on is for sponsors of these children. Sponsoring a child gives them funding for whatever they may need. Be it education, medical attention, food, etc. On these missions we will do lessons with the children. Attend church with them. Help out in their community. Assist in the homes with homework, cook meals or anything they may need. I will also provide haircuts to the children. We generally will visit the Children's Development Institute. Which is a facility that provides an after school program for some children in the community of Limon. The institute provides education and meals for children and their mothers. They are on the cusp of building a trade center/school. Which will generate education for people of the community. Hopefully providing jobs and stable income for their families. The project is currently halted due to lack of funds. Right before I left for last year's trip in April of 2017. I believe the Lord placed on my heart to build a playground on the land. Directly in front of the children's homes. Something that would outlast the missionaries. That would be there long after we left. These children really do not have much as far as toys or playthings. They're very content with what they have. Generally they play soccer, will share the one or two bikes they have. Most of their time is spent outdoors in their beautiful country. The ages range from 2-20 I believe. My dream is to build them a playground including a trampoline as part of our project when we return this May. Many of you have provided time and time again. For that I am forever grateful. It requires a lot of sacrifice on everyones part to make these trips possible. I've learned to humble myself through this process. Asking others for help is something not many of us enjoy. It's uncomfortable but extremely necessary. Starve the ego to feed the soul. I know most people think "I don't have much to give." I assure you ANY bit will help. It's ok if you cannot help monetarily. There's other ways you can be of help. Partnering with me in prayer during this time. For provisions to be provided. A safe journey. That this trip be blessed, we may be a blessing. If you do not feel comfortable with prayer. Or have a higher power of your own understanding. I ask you to put good thoughts, vibes, energy.. Whatever you believe in out there into the universe. May in manifest in abundance for everyone involved. I appreciate your time in reading this and all of your support. Thank you so very much. Love, Frankie
