5000 20 Short Film - Crowdfunding Campaign

Hi, my name is Ross Jeffers, I am currently a senior BFA student in Ohio University's film program. 5000//20 is my upcoming senior thesis project. Not only do I want to demonstrate critical techniques I have learned throughout film school, but I need to tell this narrative that is extremely personal to me.

This short film is a catalyst of emotions, discussing the queer experience within a coming-of-age context amidst intense social cultures, while addressing the struggle involved with the navigation of the fluid self as one transitions into full adulthood.

With your help, I will be able to satisfy the end of my undergraduate education in film production with a proper send-off, and portfolio quality materials as I transition my film career into the industry world. This also supports my filmmaking peers at Ohio University too!

Title: 5000//20

Logline: Breaking up with his estranged online relationship, a contempt boy tries to figure out his identity while having a night out with friends where long-time inhibitions melt into a doomsday house party in August 1999.

Synopsis: Inside the relationship between our main character "20," and an online alias named "5000" who proclaims himself to be immortal. 20 attempts to break away from this relationship, while the world around him succumbs to mass hysterics due to the onset of a new millennium.
