500-RESPIRADORES PELA VIDA - RESPIRATORS FOR LIFE.

Em 2020, fomos atingidos por um inimigo invisível e comum. Tivemos de reaprender a viver. Com uma alta taxa de mortalidade e uma ainda maior de contaminação, a COVID-19, oriunda da China, está gerando impactos políticos e socioeconômicos, sendo uma preocupação de todos. Entre janeiro e maio, países como Itália e Espanha foram os mais afetados, mas aos poucos, foram superados por Reino Unido, Estados Unidos e Brasil. Infelizmente, as previsões atuais são de que uma nova onda do vírus se aproxima. Ainda sem uma vacina ou um tratamento efetivo, as autoridades mundiais temem que o mal ainda esteja longe do fim. Portugal que já foi exemplo durante a primeira fase de combate, fica em estado de alerta com a contínua taxa de novos casos, assim como muitos outros países.

 

O SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) ainda não tem cura, e a principal terapia para recuperar o paciente é com o uso de dispositivos de assistência respiratória (respiradores). Os respiradores mais comuns no mercado rondam os € 20 mil e demandam instalações e infraestruturas relativamente complexas.

 

Desenvolvido na Universidade da Beira Interior em Portugal, por alunos (alunos que se voluntariaram em prol da sociedade como um todo, sem se preocupar com o tempo gasto, desgaste físico e emocional) de engenharia aeronáutica, engenharia eletromecânica, ciências farmacêuticas e ciências da comunicação, o Salus surge como uma alternativa a esses respiradores, tendo passado por 25 versões até chegar actual versão, pronto para auxiliar quem mais precisa e salvar vidas. Construído com materiais simples, robustos e baratos, como por exemplo painéis de policarbonato e controladores de fluxo. Por apenas € 320.00, é mais barato que componentes desses respiradores modernos, o Salus pode ser operado com bateria de telefones móveis por até 4 horas. Não demanda infraestrutura alguma e por conta disso é uma solução não apenas para os tempos que vivemos, mas também para zonas mais necessitadas. De fácil e intuitiva operação, o nosso respirador requer apenas que o operador tenha conhecimento do quadro clínico do paciente. Com uma capacidade de operação superior a 4 mil horas ininterruptas e ao final dessas 4 mil horas apenas o filtro será substituído. O Salus tem na sua compacidade a principal característica e sua manutenção para verificação dos componentes se dá a cada 2 anos – sendo que essa manutenção tem duração aproximada de 3 horas incluindo limpeza de todo o sistema e até 5 horas em caso de haver necessidade de substituição de componentes.

 

Temos como meta construir 500 respiradores. Os fundos são para construção e doação de respiradores para zonas interiores da união europeia, África e América Latina. QUANTO ANTES produzirmos os respiradores, antes iremos combater esse inimigo invisível - BENEFICIANDO aproximadamente 5 MILHÕES de PESSOAS (De acordo com as normas do Conselho de Saúde da União Europeia).

Além da ajuda para a construção do Salus – a divulgação também é muito bem-vinda e assim alcançamos o maior número possível de pessoas. As pessoas podem ainda nos informar zonas necessitadas de respiradores, nos colocando em contacto com instituições que possam receber e assim superamos os 500 respiradores, produzindo tantos quantos forem necessários.

For just € 320.00, it is cheaper than components of these modern respirators, the Salus can be operated on a mobile phone battery for up to 4 hours. It does not demand any infrastructure and because of that it is a solution not only for the times we live in, but also for the most needy areas. With easy and intuitive operation, our respirator requires only that the operator has knowledge of the patient's clinical condition. With an operating capacity of more than 4,000 uninterrupted hours and at the end of those 4,000 hours, only the filter will be replaced. The Salus has in its compactness the main characteristic and its maintenance for checking the components takes place every 2 years - being that this maintenance lasts approximately 3 hours including cleaning of the entire system and up to 5 hours in case of need for replacement. of components.

We aim to build 500 respirators. The funds are for the construction and donation of respirators for interior areas of the European Union, Africa and Latin America. AS BEFORE we produce respirators, the earlier we will fight this invisible enemy - BENEFITING approximately 5 MILLION PEOPLE (According to the rules of the European Union Health Council).

The funds are intended ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY for the construction of Salus.
