Recently my auntie was diagnosed with a progressive form of cancer called Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The news was hard for all in our tight-knit family. She has been going through treatment, chemotherapy and we also found out that she needs a bone marrow transplant in order to give her her best chance. In positive news, my mum is the positive match to be a doner for my aunty. My mum had some medical issues herself last year, so we are hoping her body can go through the process, however we are all positive she will be able to. In her words, "it's happening either way".
As a result of going through chemo, my auntie lost her hair. I am starting this page to help my auntie out. She had to leave her job after the diagnosis and is currently doing it tough. Being usually a very independent person who would help all those around her, she is now in a position where she needs assistance, both financially and in other areas. Any funds you can spare will assist in her medical bills and a wig! We hope the wig will bring a smile and boost of confidence.
To show support towards my aunty, I will be shaving my head in early December to raise money. I will have this GoFund me page open until December 15th for anyone that wants to donate money to help the cause.
