A Dip in Dollier for St Francis Hospice #XM Day!
We are celebrating XM Day on the 15th Feb and while Qualtrics is doing some amazing things to give back to the community and improve experiences for many people, I wanted to do something that is dear to my heart. That is why I am looking to raise some much needed funding for St Francis Hospice in Raheny.
This is where I pull on the heart strings and say the reason behind why I am choosing St Francis Hosptial is because they are in fact angels sent to look after your nearest and dearest!
I sadly lost my Mam at just 61 years back in 2015 and not only did St Francis Hospice come and CARE for her with such LOVE and COMPASSION in her final weeks at home. They also cared for us, her 3 daughters! They hugged us, made us tea, made mediocre jokes just to break the silence. They reassured us we were doing everything we could and sat with us when it got too much. Most of all they didn't even flinch when I would hide my feelings of despair by wearing far too much lippy!
In all seriousness, they really are an amazing charity and so I plan to swim (*reluctantly ) in the cold Irish sea on Wednesday 14th February. The special place I paddled with my Mam in her final weeks. (And yes my sister's were quick to point out by saying we should have gone for a pedicure before I took the pic of our feet in the water! ) Please donate and help me smash the Eur 500 target!!!!
If you've gotten this far reading then it's only fair you donate! I might even pull in some pals to do it with me!
