Peru Mission Trip 2018

Hey Everyone! Instead of laying out on the picturesque, white sands of Destin, Florida this Spring Break, I have been blessed with the opportunity to join 10 others from Our Lady of the Lake Parish on a mission trip to Lima, Peru. From March 30-April 9, 2018 I will learn, teach, and grow as a person by participating in mission projects and sharing the word of the Lord with some of the poorest people in the world. Through work projects, such as building staircases along the hillsides or making stoves to cook on, I will gain a greater gratitude and appreciation for the basic necessities we often take for granted. On the last few days, we will venture to Cusco, Peru where I will witness and hike one of God’s Seven Wonders of the World– Machu Picchu. The biggest and most meaningful support you can give to me is through prayers, but financial donations are also greatly appreciated. God calls us all to be missionaries in different ways. “Some give by going, others go by giving.” The total expense for this mission is $2,000, which will cover travel fees, lodging, meals, and most importantly project supplies. Through donations and prayers, you too can impact the lives of people living in severe poverty on the fringes of Lima. Thank you so much for your time and support. - Saylor Ennis
