Fabian “The Candyman” Fundraiser!

At the end of last year, Fabian began experiencing chest pain, and after several doctor’s visits a heart cath was ordered to search for any damage to his heart. On Wednesday, Dec. 20th the heart cath revealed several major blockages in his arteries to his heart, and he would need to undergo open heart bypass surgery.
At the time of the heart cath, they did not have insurance and the procedure was paid for out of pocket. Fabian and Marlene had recently enrolled in a new insurance which would go into effect on the first of the new year 2018, which is when they had hoped to schedule the bypass surgery.
However, within an hour of the heart cath, Fabian began experiencing continued chest pain and at that point, the doctors determined that he would need emergency bypass surgery the very next day.
On Thursday, Dec. 21st Fabian underwent triple bypass surgery and spent the next 5 days recovering in the hospital over the Christmas holiday until he was finally released to go home on Tuesday, Dec. 26th. He is currently home on the road to recovery.
The news of Fabian’s heart condition came as a shock to the family and the expenses that incurred were completely unexpected. Total bills to cover the surgery in its entirety is estimated to be $200,000-$300,000. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help cover those medical bills and to give people the opportunity to sow back into their lives.
Fabian and Marlene have invested so much of their time, finances, love and care to those near them.
