KC Couple Battling Cancer/House Fire

Our parents, Mike and Anna Holm of South Kansas City, lost their house and all the contents in a fire on October 25th. If that isn't bad enough to lose the home you have lived in for 38 years, Anna is also battling advanced stage esophageal cancer.
Fortunately, they have insurance so the house will be replaced in time. However, it is the immediate future that is of concern. There is much that needs to be replaced now that cannot wait for an insurance settlement. So much that we take for granted is now a question mark for them...clothes, toiletries, and the many hidden costs associated with a tragedy of this sort.
