Coronavirus - friends are in desperate need

Donation protected

Current events regarding the coronavirus, COVID19 have affected some friends on the island of Bohol. Transportation suspended, postponed and cancelled,  Businesses shut down by order of the govt., revenue streams stopped or slowed so much, they can’t afford to pay the employees.  People are in dire situations.

My friends are kind hearted and are in trouble. They need our help. They have Very little food and almost no supplies have made it to their region with no date in sight for when more will arrive. What makes it worse is knowing there are children involved. They are good people, leading simple lives and they desperately need our support.

I am adding an update. As of March 26, 2020 I just received word the entire island of Bohol is on modified lockdown. At this point, no one may enter or leave the island. No one can go outside without a Govt issued pass or risk being arrested. Govt handed out ONLY 4kg rice to a family of 10 for the first time since the initial lockdown.  No meat, no canned goods with no date when the next allotment will be made. Fishing has stopped. The police are out in force to enforce one pass per household for anyone being outside and for good cause, usually to find food.

Update: April 7, 2020:  Governor Arthur Yap has signed an executive order extending the Community Quarantine in Bohol until May 4, 2020. Details to follow: https://www.boholchronicle.com.ph

I humbly request your assistance in helping feed these families. Your donation will provide for those families impacted  with funds to buy the food and medicine they so desperately need. Please please help.
