On Top Of The World With Tina

Philippians 3:13-14 "Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." On our recent 39th wedding anniversary, my wife surprised me by saying she wanted to climb Piestewa peak. For a number of reasons, this had intimidated her in the past so I was surprised but pleased to arrange this milestone for her. She made it to the top and as we enjoyed the view, she commented that it wasn’t as hard as she imagined. I am proud of this woman who is willing to accept new challenges and blessed to see her adventurous spirit continue to show up. Next month this lovely lovely lady has again made a commitment to return to Nepal to join in a two week medical mission. I will not be joining her this time. She will be one of two medical providers on the Hope Force International team, going out with Apple of God’s Eye Ministry to the rural villages northeast of Kathmandu. As we have been preparing for this we have found the finances challenging. We can make it happen with incurring some debt but would prefer to ask for help. Philippians 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” With this verse in mind, we would appreciate your prayers for Tina and the team. In addition we ask you to consider giving a $20 gift to help cover Tina’s expenses. Titus 3:14 “Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.” I love that Tina is willing and able to meet pressing needs in Nepal and invite our friends to vicariously do the same by contributing to this Go Fund Me campaign.
