Paul Kinder's Medical/Travel Fund

,Paul Kinder is not only a Junior player with the Glacier Nationals, he is their team captain, he is an official in the local pool for youth and adults (and a good one at that) he is a volunteer youth coach and helps out all around the rink. He was awarded the American West Hockey League's Community Service Award last season. He is a leader on and off the ice, heading up community service: Habitat for Humanity and Local School Visits. He has also been the leading point scorer in the AWHL this season.

What he is fighting started off looking like the flu, and progressed into bilateral Pneumonia. He is now septic, on a ventilator and is dealing with a serious blood infection. His kidneys are barely keeping up. His blood pressure is extremely low. Last night they put him into a doctor induced coma to get his body a little more time to focus on healing.

We got this update this morning from his mother Linda Kinder who arrived from Michigan:

He's still in critical stable condition. His fever dropped slightly and his kidney function has improved a tad. His vitals continue to yo-yo dangerously as they attempt different medications to regulate BP, etc. He's by no means out of the woods and last night didn't sound good. In Linda's words a few hours ago, there were more positives than negatives this morning which she is thankful for. I took it to mean that Paul is sustaining the fight.

The outpouring of love and support for Paul demonstrates just how much of an effect he has had on the entire community.

So, for sure thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated for him, the Kinder family, the Hergesheimers (Paul's billet family), his teammates and the entire Glacier National's organization.
