Elliott's support fund

My name is Michelle Bartell, I am the fiance of Elliott Longworth who is currently in jail. He suffered his first psychotic break for paranoid schizophrenia and the system that was supposed to help him, failed him. Elliott has no prior record and is a very loving, caring, and gentle man; he is so full of life and amazing. Elliott was in a psych ward of a hospital where he was placed with a roommate even though he was there for being a danger to himself or others. One night he had a black out, which is very common with his mental illness, and he harmed his roommate and subsequently was taken to jail. We bailed him out from the original charge and he was placed in a treatment center but when the charge changed he was placed back in jail. While in jail the second time he was pepper sprayed and put in a straight jacket for trying to hurt himself (which for obvious reasons is not right). Elliott has been extremely paranoid and hearing voices, because of this we want to get him out of jail and back into a facility that will provide him with proper treatment as well as the medicine he needs to get better. Me and his family did everything we were supposed to do to avoid this incident and we are all truly disappointed in the hospital for not providing better care for Elliott as well as the person he harmed. We are just trying to get him the help he needs and we appreciate anything, even if it's just a prayer, that helps us help him. Thank you so much!
