Hey there our names are Aidan, Nic, Miriam, and Rachel. We were all recently selected to play on the U20 Australian Ultimate Frisbee Teams; Aussie Thunder (Men's) and Southern Terra (Women's). We will be travelling to Waterloo, Ontario Canada in August to compete at the World Junior Ultimate Championships (WJUC) against the best players and teams the world has to offer.
As it turns out, representing Australia is rather costly, and we need all the help you can give us to get there!
But first a little bit about us...
The 4 of us have a long and convaluted history together. Nic and Aidan have been best friends for years now; going to school together, getting a job together and starting frisbee together. They're the best of mates off the field and a power couple on the field. To the point where Aidan has never played on a team without Nic.
Rachel and Miriam became childhood friends when they met at church. They were both introduced to frisbee by the notorious player - Andrew (AJ) Jackson. They have now played frisbee together for 3(ish) years and have represented Australia together 3 times.
The two pairs were brought together by a star-crossed romance between Rachel and Aidan. She fell for his incredible hops and chiseled jawline, but unfortunately it was not meant to be...
All those double dates and frisbee trips away, however, brought the other, unsuspecting couple together.
Miriam and Nic (uncommonly known as Mic or Niriam) became a frisbee power couple. Recently passing their 1 year anniversary.
Although it didn't work out for Rachel, she still attends all Nic and Miriam's dates. She is so much a part of the relationship it is odd to see Nic and Miriam together without her. And even though Miriam is dating Nic, on the field Nic has been referred to as the King and Aidan as his Queen.
Now Rachel, Miriam, Aidan and Nic are only known as the fearsome foursome. Greatly desired by all frisbee clubs and teams and the bestest of friends.
