Colby & Mike's Fire Fundraiser

Dear Friends & family My best friends daughter, Colby Kestler is a beautiful, smart, hardworking 22 year old. She's a graduate of The University of RI and is currently continuing her studies at CCRI while waitressing part time. I have known Colby since she was a toddler and have had the opportunity of watching her grow into the strong, independent women that she has become. Colby was living on the island in an apartment with her boyfriend Mike Solomon. Mike has been a member of the Army National Guard for the past 8 years. Up until yesterday Colby was successfully balancing the struggles of working and maintaining her GPA along with all of the other stressors that come along with being a young adult until her and mike smelled smoke and their apartment which quickly became engulfed in flames. I am thanking god as I write this that the couple were able to get out safely without being harmed. In addition to the devastation of being involved in a fire Colby and Mike have lost ALL of their belongings and literally have NOTHING. Colby comes from a hardworking family with strong values who would never ask for help so I have taken it upon myself to ask for them. Please open your heart and make a donation to Colby and Mike to help them get back on their feet again. I find all too often we take for granted waking up in a warm house slipping into our cozy slippers, heating up a cup of coffee in our keurigs, and dressing in our warm designer clothing. Take this as a reminder to be grateful for all that you have and to be generous to those who have come upon hard times and devastating setbacks in life.
