Cassie's Journey

Cassie is a hard working girl who was injured in a rock slide August of 2017 she continues to struggle with her injuries.  She has a traumatic brain injury and shattered her eye orbits leading to visual loss.  She is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist concentrating in outdoor adventures. She has worked for the NSCD in Colorado and the Wilderness School in Connecticut. She has a strong belief that play brings healing.   As a mode of healing for herself she skis with a guide and hopes to qualify for the Paralympics as a visually impaired skier. She hopes that her participation helps her vision to improve as well as her endurance. She has had financial setbacks because of her injury and healthcare needs. She would be grateful for assistance to raise funds to participate in the program to pay for ski equipment and participation expenses. Please help my daughter reach her goal.
