Help Jessica and Joe with Christmas

Donation protected
I'm not usually one who likes to ask for too much help from my closest friends and family, but I figured this was a really good cause and it is for members of my family.

As many of you may, or may not, know....Jessica (Andy's sister) and her entire family have been hit with some very hard times lately. It started with her husband, Joe, losing his job. Their house was foreclosed on about 2 months ago and they were forced to move into an apartment. As of last week, their only car was just repossessed, so they are now without transportation.

I wanted to come up with a way to try to help them. Since the holidays will be fast approaching, I was wondering if some of my closest friends and family members could help her out by donating some money to help her buy Christmas gifts for her 6 kids.

Both Jessica and Joe have done their best to keep their kids shielded from all the bad things that have happened to them in the last few months. They are trying to keep life as normal as possible for them.

I wanted to keep this fundraising a secret from them, as they would probably be too ashamed to ever ask anyone for help, so if you have any questions, feel free to send them to me.

I plan on giving her a card, with all the money that was raised, at our family's Thanksgiving festivities.

Anything that you are able to give, will be so appreciated. My purpose in collecting this money is so that no one feels burdened. I sent this exact same message out to over 50 people on my Facebook profile and even if each of those people are able to only give $10 each:that's still a good amount to "gift" to them:.so, please, don't feel like you have to "break the bank" in order to help:.any amount($10?, $20?) will be so very appreciated.

There truly is power in numbers!

I know that many of the people that I will sending this message to are parents and I realize that holidays are tough on anyone, even when there is plenty of money. So, I ask you to put yourself in their shoes and try to imagine the stresses that they will have. I try to constantly teach my kids that it is always better to give, than to receive, and I consider this a perfect opportunity to do just that.

Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to read this and to everyone who decides to share.
