One minute with Dana and you are grabbed by her gorgeous smile, touched by her enormous heart, impacted by her generous, kind and wild spirit, moved by her love of animals, transformed by her exquisite genuine voice that brings chills to your bones and tears to your soul.
To know Dana is to love Dana, is to be held by the arms and presence of a wise, humble, bold jungle priestess barefoot mama!
Dana has spent her entire life giving and helping others. Be it through her voice, her songs, her healing hands and heart, she has rescued thousands of people and animals from the trenches and brought them a new light that changed their world.
NOW IT IS OUR CHANCE TO GIVE BACK, TO HELP THE ONE WHO HAS HELPED SO MANY OTHERS.
As many of you know, our beloved Dana has developed a liposarcoma cancerous tumor in her abdomen.
After five months of doing a radical course of natural alternative healing treatments and seeing no apparant shrinking of the tumor, Dana has decided to combine the natural approach with allopathic and get the tumor surgically removed.
Her recent catscan showed no apparant spread of the cancer, nor change in the size of the tumor over a 5 month time period, and thus the tumor IS STILL OPERABLE. Phewwww! Her oncologist in Puerto Vallarta strongly stressed that this was Dana's WINDOW of opportunity to get it removed.
This comes as a relief to so many of us who are rooting so strongly for Dana's complete and total healing.
Dana's surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
She will be getting it done in Puerto Vallarta by her oncologist Dr. Velasco, who is known by many of her friends to have performed surgical miracles and who is a healer, as well as a very qualified and experienced surgeon. Dana feels really good about him.

1. DONATE MONEY FOR THE SURGERY & POST OP TREATMENTS / LIVING EXPENSES DURING AND AFTER RECOVERY:
WE ARE HOPING TO COLLECT $35,000 (after Gofundme's fees are taken out) TO COVER ALL OF THESE EXPENSES.
THE SURGERY NEEDS TO BE PAID BEFORE HER SCHEDULED SURGERY DATE, so IDEALLY collected no later than MAY 1.
DANA WANTED TO STRESS THAT SHE DOES NOT WANT ANYONE TO DONATE $ WHO IS STRUGGLING WITH THEIR OWN FINANCES (THAT'S OUR DANA) AND THAT SHE IS DEEPLY GRATEFUL FOR ANY AND ALL HELP OFFERED.
2. HELP WITH THE ANIMALS AT THE SANCTUARY:
Over the years, Dana has rescued and saved so many animals, many of whom now have new owners and homes, however, there are still over 25 animals at the sanctuary where Dana lives THAT ALL NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF DURING DANA'S SURGERY AND RECOVERY TIME.
We would love to create a solid reliable crew of locals from Yelapa (or ones who want to fly in and stay at the sanctuary for free) who would commit to helping with the animals.
WE ARE CREATING A SIGN UP LIST where people can choose an animal to take responsibility for during this 6 week recovery time. This would entail some feeding but mostly spending some time daily LOVING UP THIS ANIMAL. It will not actually require too much time to do this with one animal. It is just too much for 1 or 2 people to tend to 25 animals.
3. HELP WITH DANA'S RECOVERY:
After Dana's surgery, she will need help with juicing, cooking, physical therapy rehab, massage, chores etc.
She will be recovering in Vallarta for approximately 3 weeks, thus some people can support her by going to Vallarta to help her and others can wait until her return.
WE WILL BE GIVING UPDATES ON DANA'S PROGRESS ON FACEBOOK.
