Getting A-Round-Tuit

Hello to all! My name is Jesy, and I am 43yrs young. My story in a nutshell? **I am a mother of three grown and wonderful children that I was given the honor of raising: Sylvanna, Elijah and Joshua.** A wife, separated from my husband since July of 2017, due to life's plain old suckiness that picks on all humans impartially;eventually. It's really here I will begin... Feeling unwell for some time at this point (8mo.)-I was becoming increasingly ill and unable to retain body weight nor take in nutrients without terrible pain. Lacking medical insurance I avoided anything not deemed an emergency, medically speaking. So in Aug. 2017, when I went to the E.R. it was because a kind soul told me I NEEDED to. Diagnosed with chronic IBS and partial small bowel obstruction. Liquids only diet & given Bentyl for intestine cramping. In Sept. 2017, I accepted help from a local women's shelter in Valdosta, Georgia-with a program for ladies in need of counsel and temporary housing. While here I focused on regaining employment (I did) and housing for myself ( I did). I traded moped for a vehicle. I also became increasingly more and more unwell, yet tried to maintain physically to keep my forward momentum within the bigger picture. On Nov.20, 2017 I moved into my new place..with a decent job that I enjoyed, working in the kitchen of a local restaurant. Nov.27(1-week in new residence) found me at the E.R. at SGMC- yet another small bowel obstruction, a bit larger than the last, and possibly in need of surgery. Hoping to avoid this if possible, surgeon admitted me for observation and after three days Nov.30, I was released as my condition did not worsen-and seemed to improve slightly at least. Dec.1, 2017- SO, SO SICK!! High fever, violent vomiting, delirium... I called the ambulance, because I now live alone. (Anyone who knows me even a little knows what this amounts to). Tests and blah blah blah, and I am whisked away to emergency surgery! Right now-right now!! Awaking later to a 10 inch, "Mrs.Frankenstein" incision the length of almost my entire abdomen. But I was awake... I was alive... I was also awake and alive when my surgeon informed me the next day, with much gentleness, kindness and hope-that IBS was NOT in fact the issue at hand, but that ugly whispered word of the good 'ol days...cancer. Colon cancer to be exact. I am able to go home after spending 6 days at SGMC, Valdosta-during which, I was never ever so happy to eat jello in my life!! After a week of awaiting pathology results I'm told that I am in stage 3-metastatic colon cancer. Once again.. I am 43 yrs old. The average median age for women diagnosed with this type of cancer is 76yrs. These last weeks have brought many changes. Dec.20 was first appt with oncologist. Soooo... On Jan 8, I go for my Port surgery- ***Summary&Facts of this here story: I need some for real and true help. *I do have family and said children that love me very much, unfortunately they live 1,200 miles away. I presently live alone. *No medical coverage- medical bills alone are already upward of $70,000!! BEFORE I undergo any further treatment! *Due to my tiny stature (5ft. 106 lbs currently) oncologist recommends NO WORKING during chemo. So I'm out of work AND only had opportunity to bring in three paychecks before I was hospitalized. *I DO NOT qualify for any state medical coverage because...I'm not a senior citizen/I've no dependant children under 18 yrs old. living at home. *I'm in processes of applications with local charitable organizations as well as Gov. disability benefits through S.S.A--- NONE OF WHICH WILL COME SOON ENOUGH nor will begin to cover in assist with current and coming overwhelming expenditures of daily living & treatment while OVERCOMING & SURVIVING this disease! My beliefs tell me that "I have not, because I ask not." So I'm asking... Will (YOU) Get-A-Round-Tuit? Every penny helps! No donation is too small! Every gift appreciated! *Every donor will receive a wooden disc- A "round-tuit" designed and hand painted by yours truly- accented in dark blue which is the color associated with colon cancer & that you did indeed get around to it...helping that is!
