Help Rob fight cancer

On Tuesday, March 29th, Dr. Robert Yale (35 years old), was informed by his medical oncologist that his stomach cancer had advanced so rapidly and extensively that a surgical resection was not possible. His Stage 4 gastric cancer, from which there is no cure, would require chemotherapy in order to slow its progression.

This news has devastated Rob’s friends and family. Anyone who has ever met Rob will attest to his intelligence, kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity. Rob is the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Not only is he a committed husband and loving father of two young children; he’s also a beloved teacher and respected scholar who has positively influenced the lives and careers of countless colleagues and students. A man of tremendous personal integrity, Rob has lived out his faith in the constant love, care, and encouragement he has offered to his family, friends, and community.  

To a person who has given so much of his life to helping and serving others, I hope that we can all pitch in to help Rob and his family in this extremely difficult time of need.
