First Overseas Mission Trip- Haiti

Hello everyone!
Some of you may know me, some of you may not. For those of you who may not know me, I am Christina, but I like to go by Nina. I am currently a nursing student in hopes to specialize in pediatrics (kids or babies). I love to work with people and love to learn new things. The thing that made me chose nursing the most is the ability to be able to help people and to serve others. To be with them when they may need me the most. To put a smile on their face when they may need a pick me up. Working in clinicals this semester made me realize that this is the career I was meant to do.
I have the opportunity to go on a week-long mission trip to Haiti this spring, in May. This trip was a little short notice, but that isn't stopping me. This would be my first mission trip and my first time out of the country. Also we will be staying in a medical clinic in Seguin, a rural town, which I think will be an awesome experience! I have a passion for traveling and will pursue that dream of mine after I graduate college.
While in Haiti we will be constructing gutter-like systems on the homes of the Haitians so that clean water will be made more available. The money that I raise will be used for airfare, ground transportation, housing, construction of building materials, and a passport. My goal is to raise $2220 by April 30th. This opportunity I feel will be a life changing experience for me. Not only will it allow me to connect better with God and share the love I have for him with other people, I can use this opportunity to inspire others. This trip will also allow me to be able to experience how other people live and what all they have to do in order to live their daily lives. It will be a learning experience for me and an eye opener. And I will be able to help them! Something that we are so fortunate to have access to and sometimes take for granted, can be so appreciated to people who lack this resource. While I am working to be able to provide for this trip, any donations will be greatly appreciated, even if it is only 5 dollars. Any extra donations can be used to purchase soccar balls, shoes, and clothes for people who are in need of it.
