Warming Hearts For The Homeless

December 31st, 2017 we received many donations from the Bellevue, KY neighbors to help the homeless. Being the coldest week/month in Northern Kentucky/ Cincinnati area. Winter has hit and temperatures was 7 degrees and with wind chill was a -6 degree. We collected, clothing, blanks, jackets, gloves and scarfs for the homeless during these freezing temperatures along with dog and cat food for the homeless pets. We personally went to the streets to deliver these items. We continue to get items delivered daily.
In the process of helping the homeless they would tell us their story as to why they was homeless. We learned that many that are homeless was United States Military Veterans. They went and was in war and came back with PTSD. These veterans are leaving under bridges with no food or anything to keep them warm. They need our help.
We also learned that we have many woman who are pregnate living in this winter weather as well. Last week we had -7 degree weather out there and these people are laying under a bridge trying to keep warm., No one should be left in the cold.
We are two single mothers that go out daily to give the homeless a meal, hot chocolate, blankets, coats, socks, new under ware, hand warmers and what ever else they may need. We do our best to help. We have been seeing anywhere from 75 to 100 homeless a day and giving them each a meal with something warm to drink.
Please help us in our efforts to keep them alive. We recently had one homeless gentleman die on the streets due to we could not get to
Him quick enough.
We need everyone’s help to help each and everyone of these people. We work with them to try and help remove them from the streets and help find them housing and jobs. We supply what we can but we have limited funding.
