Please Help Save Cody With Surgery

I got the worst news I've had in long. My mother called me at 6:05pm today 12/29/17 and told me to hurry and get home, Cody was hit by a car. My dog, fur baby, my first child; who I've had since he was 3mos old, he is now 14. My sons best friend, my mothers granddog. He has a broken pelvis and 3 other broken bones (leg and butt), he is unable to walk right now. He's in the animal hospital at Bay Beach In Virginia beach being cared for until Tuesday when a surgeon is available at Blue pearl. They are giving him meds, he has a catheter in because he cannot use the bathroom on his own. He will need surgery to remove his joint in his back leg because it's broke then they will have to rebuild his pelvis, he has nerve damage as well. The doctor is saying he will make it with surgery but that's the part that is going to be hard. It was $744 to have him seen and given meds, etc. We have to pay for 4nights at the animal hospital to make sure he's stable that is $1560 and then he will see the surgeon. If we cannot pay for the surgery the only option is putting him to sleep and that is something I cannot do. The surgery a minimum is $4,000. I never thought I'd be on here asking for help especially after the holiday but this is my last resort. He will not make it without surgery. When your in this spot its like your cornered and only 2 options. Our fur babies are our family, the vets should not deny an animals care, a chance at living because the owner cannot afford to save them up front. This isnt an option for human life so why is it for animals. I don't want to loose him anything right now will help. Please pray for my cody, thank you.
