As some one who has served in the Army for 10 years, I have had to overcome both physical obstacles as well as many mental barriers. I have overcome a back surgery, PTSD, and many other areas of trouble that come with being in the service for so long. I want to inspire our military veterans to go after their dreams and to understand that there is life after discharge. Despite what happened while they were in, they can overcome it and be a positive force in society. That is why I work with great organizations such as Gallant Few (gallantfew.org) as they are great at helping veterans get back on their feet upon getting out. I also want to inspire anyone who thinks they "Can't" or "Don't have what it takes" to KNOW that they can and more importantly, that they SHOULD.
I am competing in the Boulder, CO Ironman 70.3 on 15 Jun 2014 which will be my biggest challenge to date but not the biggest on my list. I plan on doing a full Ironman by the end of 2014 as well. I will be competing in several Olympic and Half distance triathlons until then and I am in desperate need of equipment and a new bike. The equipment that I have was great for starting the sport but I am already out performing my equipment and I need to upgrade. Any little bit of financial support will go directly towards a bike specially made for elite triathlon performance as I plan to go professional. I want to thank you in advance for your support.
