Help, My Camera Died!

Donation protected
The photo you see was the last one I took on my Sony a7r ii before I took off to next location in a hurry to catch the light.... With the camera on the roof of the car! I packed my career in as a social worker when I burnt out after twenty years of working with teenagers ( none of whom were quite as mental as myself at that age) but mental enough to burn me out. Thankfully I got out with enough gratitude intact to have enjoyed a fulfilling career of service to others. Taking up photography as a career probably saved my sanity, but any photographers out there will know, it's not a great way to get rich. Anyway, after killing my camera a friend suggested setting up a GoFundMe campaign... To be honest I feel like a total chancer, but I can't see any other solution to replacing my camera. My goal is £2000 to replace the broken camera body. Anyone who wants to donate can pick any image they want from the link I will provide below and I'll send you a full resolution copy of the image... Then I don't feel like just quite a chancer. So please help me out, or at least wish me luck. I'm not ready to give up on this dream yet! Thank you! https://www.facebook.com/LaganPhoto/ Update after some Facebook shares... I'd really like to thank Alan and Nikki for sharing my GoFundMe post in a Facebook group I am a member of. I didn't request this or expect it, but I'm very grateful for the thought. I noticed a lot of comments on the posts both positive and negative. Alan suggested the GoFundMe idea to me and I'm glad he did as I'm completely broke at the minute. What I didn't add into the GoFundMe post was the fact that no I don't have insurance as I can't afford it. I used to work as a consultant social work trainer and had a very successful career at it, I did one last consultancy job to buy this camera and it nearly wiped me out as I had just finished two courses of chemo (successfully thankfully) and am still trying to scrape the money together to finish my parents headstones after paying for their funerals so close together. I didn't want to add the "sob story" element into the initial campaign, but am adding it here just to let those of you who shared or contributed how very grateful I am and also just to let you guys with your helpful should have been insured or I took responsibility when I smashed my camera posts know you're comments ain't helpful, not even really interesting and just a bit troll like. I did feel like a chancer when I created the GoFundMe page, I have offered anyone who contributes any of my work as prints so I'm not just begging. Anyway, my overall point is I'm so grateful to those of you who have shown humanity and I'm also grateful to those of you who remind me why I generally don't like humanity and prefer being behind a lens with my hounds. Much love xxx
