In 2013, Jennifer started her battle with Ovarian Cancer. She went through a 7 hour surgery followed by a port placement and 6 rounds of chemo. She kicked its butt! Little did we know this cancer would continue to come back for a total of 5 Times now. Each time, Jen has gotten up and handled it without so much as a complaint. Multiple port placements, chemo treatments, doctor’s visits, endless blood work, CT scans, and PET scans have led us to now. Jenny fights this battle with the love and support of both her mom and I (her sister) and many other loved ones who have been available for prayers and visits.
The Friday before Christmas 2017, Jen went into the hospital to treat an infection and dehydration. She has continued treatment in the hospital to this day. Five weeks of a hospital bed, tests, dressings, 3 surgeries, and all that goes with this... She is fighting hard, and once again, never complains. I’m truly humbled by her. We have every reason to believe Jen will be able to fight this current bout of cancer and it’s ugly side effects.
Jen will eventually come home. She will require more assistance this time around and will require further time away from work. She will come home to the onslaught of more medical bills on top of the last few years of medical bills that are slowly being paid on. At this time we are hoping and praying we can help her to get her health back, but when she does, her whole life is paying these bills.
I reach out to you, my friends and hers, for help in making her life more livable. More enjoyable. Let’s show Jen how important she is to us. Help me get this started!!!
