Help for Eden.
My family and I have had the opportunity and blessing of getting to know Eden over the last year. We have come to love her and consider her as family. For a young woman to have already gone through so much she has a outlook on life that I can only hope my kids will learn to have one day. She was dealt a terrible hand in life having cancer at a young age. Being the rock and fighter she is, Eden not only beat it but she has turned it into a positive helping other young children with their cancer battles. As many of you know the sometimes successful treatments are forever taxing on the body. Leaving scars and unforetold future damages. This holiday season Eden found out she needed a surgery that you may need when your past 60-70 years old. She’s 19. The insurance company considers cataract surgery an optional surgery so they will not cover the near $15,000 expense!! I know Eden’s parents and I know they will do everything they can to help. I want us to do something more. She had the first surgery just a few days ago. She currently works at the gym I go to. Each time I’ve seen her the last few days shes still had that beautiful smile on her face even just after surgery, at work! Let’s help this amazing girl and her amazing family. Not only is it Christmas but Eden also turns 20 next week. It’s time to show Eden her willingness to be positive no matter what she’s dealt and her selflessness to help others battle cancer hasn’t gone unnoticed. They haven’t asked me for help or to do this. I’ve observed and truly feel like this is help they could use.
